About Me

Vik, Iceland 2 min read

Hi there! My name is Stephen Craton, and this is my blog. There are many blogs out there, but this one is uniquely mine. It’s a photography / story sharing blog.

I’ve kept many blogs throughout the years. But after having traveled the world throughout my 20’s, I thought I might keep a new one. So that I might share the photos, stories, and lessons I’ve learned from around the globe.

A picture is worth a thousand words, as they say. But what if I write a thousand words to accompany each picture? Then you have, like, 2,000 words and that’s just twice as good. So I hope you enjoy my photography, and my missives that accompany each photograph.

In case you want to know more about me, I’m a 30-something software enginner born and raised in Indiana. At age 19, I moved to the Philippines where I lived for five years. As I often tell people: the Philippines is a great place to visit.

Living abroad gave me a bad case of the travel bug. I spent the next several years touring Asia, Europe, and America. Along the way I developed a photography habit. I was being exposed to such beautiful scenery I couldn’t shutter to think of a better way to spend my time.

Eventually I settled down. I realized I had a ton of photos and lots to say about each one. Then I started this blog. And thus here we are. You reading that very same blog. Please do enjoy!
